Doctors Direct Medical Group provides the highest quality clinical care that promotes quality of life, and optimum health and wellness.   We treat the whole client, and strive to incorporate medical aspects, psychological factors and social components which provides the best chance for optimum health, and focuses on each individual uniquely.   Doctors Direct Medical Group was founded out of the desire to provide clinical health services in a model that focuses on comfort and quality of life as much as treatment.

DR. JASON R. ABNEY

Jason R. Abney, D.O. is the Medical Director, Founder and CEO of Doctors Direct Medical Group. Dr. Abney is dual board certified in both Family Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Care. Dr. Abney has been practicing homebound medicine for almost a decade. He prides himself on providing exceptional medical care and being available to his patients and their families. Dr. Abney values spending time discussing a personalized care plan and partnering with his patients and families. He believes that optimizing quality of life and comfort are as important as treating the patient’s medical conditions and focuses on the whole individual.

Dr. Abney was recognized in 2013 as the Senior Care Hero Awards Physician of the Year for his excellence in patient care and his hands on approach. He has proudly served as Medical Director for many ancillary homebound services including Hospice and Home Health as well as the Medical Director of a large Assisted Living Facility over the last decade. Dr. Abney also enjoys sharing his knowledge and passion for homebound medicine with Medical Students and Residents in his role as Clinical Preceptor for several local medical schools and residency programs.

AN NGUYEN, D.O.

An Nguyen, D.O. was born and raised in Orange County, California, where she now practices medicine. Dr. Nguyen earned her medical degree from Touro University-Nevada and completed the family medicine residency training program from what is now PIH (Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital) Health Downey Hospital. She has a particular interest in homebound, geriatric, and hospice/palliative care medicine, fields in which she has worked for nearly a decade. She has had experience as associate medical director of a medical group as well as medical director of both home health and hospice. Dr. Nguyen strongly believes in valuing quality of life and comfort in addition to treating various complex medical conditions, and aims to set her best foot forward in the care of each individual patient.
